Not all floors should be waxed. Suitable types include vinyl composite tile (VCT), linoleum, unglazed ceramic tile, and concrete. Most luxury vinyl plank/tile (LVP/LVT), common in homes, should not be waxed.

The full process of removing old floor finish (wax) and applying multple new layers usually takes 5+ hours. Large commercial spaces may require multiple visits. We offer day and night shifts to fit your schedule.

Clear large and small movable items, like trash cans or product displays. We can work around big fixtures, but moving them lets us clean underneath for an even finish. Shelving, desks, or filing cabinets are usually left in place.

You can safely gently walk on the floor 1 hour after the final coat is applied. However, please be cautious when moving heavy furniture or with heavy foot traffic during the first 24-48 hours. Most Buzz Brite customers see floors stay shiny for up to 2 years in low-traffic areas and about 1 year in busy spots. Very busy places may need waxing twice a year or more.

Regular cleaning keeps wax lasting longer. In winter, salt and sand wear finishes if not swept often. Put area rugs where wear is heavy, like under office chairs and at entrances.
We also offer high-speed burnishing 2–4 times a year to restore shine without waxing.
